The first morning, I opted for their Full English breakfast and was pleasantly surprised by the freshness of the ingredients. Each component was cooked to perfection, reminding me of home-cooked meals back in Kathmandu. On the second day, I tried the scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, a delightful nod to creativity that set the tone for my day. The coffee, sourced from Farrers in Kendal, complemented the meal beautifully, showcasing their commitment to ethical sourcing. The ambiance of the dining area was inviting, facilitating engaging conversations with fellow guests as Alison and Wayne served each dish piping hot. Their attention to detail was evident through a variety of homemade goodies that accompanied the main offerings, providing a lovely touch. Laurel Cottage is conveniently located just a short walk from the village center, offering an array of dining options nearby.
